Hello, friends and neighbors of Long Lake! My name is Todd Newcomer, and I am running for Long Lake City Council. As you may know, our community is currently dealing with public safety challenges related to fire and emergency medical services. If elected, I will use my 27 years of experience as a firefighter paramedic to make sure that the safety of our residents is a top priority. I believe that preparation starts with community, and I am dedicated to collaborating with you to establish financially responsible and efficient solutions for Long Lake. I hope to earn your support and your vote on election day!

About Todd
-
30-year Career Firefighter Paramedic
As a firefighter paramedic, I responded to over 30,000 emergency calls. Whether responding to a wildfire, house fire, car accident, school shooting, lift assist, or medical call, you need to listen, problem-solve, and communicate quickly, calmly, and effectively. I will bring that experience with me as your city council representative.

I married a strong, smart, independent woman and together we are raising two daughters who keep us on my toes. As your representative, I recognize that the decisions I make impact real families, including my own and it will always be at the forefront of my mind.
Involved & In Service
On May 29, 2024, I participated in the City of Long Lake’s Follow-Up Forum regarding Long Lake Fire Service to share my knowledge about how fire departments evolve and what an effective firefighting force looks like.
